In June 2022, Larry Littlebird officially retired. Larry is excited about the vibrant creative team who will continue his life's work and respectfully carry his legacy forward. During this path of succession, Larry has handed over his oral tradition legacy into the care of his wife Deborah with whom he co-founded Hamaatsa and other social profit and faith-based work. Deborah has been instrumental in archiving Larry's lifelong storywork and she will continue to nurture and share their regenerative spiritual vision for healing land and people. Larry will continue on as our revered Elder/Advisor offering his prayers, wisdom and ancestor voice that he has steadfastly carried forth - for Hobah-Hanu, all the people.
This Photo Tribute to Larry Littlebird highlights some of Larry's journey and contributions as a culture bearer, storyteller, author, filmmaker, artist, hunter-farmer. Through his lineage of strong faith people and their courage, Larry has given graciously and generously to so many people across this beautiful globe with his loving kindness, his beloved Pueblo stories and his deep spiritual faith. Please join us in blessing Larry and add your well wishes for him in the comments section below. Ha'wuu. |
